Wellington Wilder, Jr.

Wellington Wilder Jr. a native of Florence, South Carolina passed recently in Washington, D.C. He was a graduate of Benedict College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in math and science. He earned a master's degree from the university of the District of Columbia and was employed as a math teacher and school administrative for the D.C. Public School System. He was a member of Hyattsville / Landover Alumni graduate chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He was a former member of Metropolitan Baptist Church and later joined the historic Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. Following retirement from the D.C. Public School System he served as a funeral attendant in the D.C. area. Funeral services were held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. and Trinity Baptist Church in Florence, South Carolina. Interment was in Sunset Memory Gardens, by Smith Funeral Home.
