Mildred Miles (McLean) Sampson

Mildred McLean Miles Sampson, 90, transitioned on Nov. 9, 2021. She was a native of the Elrod Community of Rowland, and was the daughter of the late Henry Williams McLean and Shadie Ballard McLean. She attended Beauty Spot United Methodist Church during her early years and joined Mt. Zion AME Church in Trenton, New Jersey upon locating to New Jersey. She was a descendent of the Ballard family of Lumberton, N.C. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Zion AME Church in Trenton, New Jersey and interment was in the Brig. Gen. William C.
