Labecca Lavelle McNeill Lesane was born to Ms. Linda Galbreath on December 30, 1983, in Robeson County, North Carolina. She transitioned on March 23, 2024, at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton, NC. Labecca was a member of Sandy Grove Baptist Church where she served on the Greeters/Welcome Ministry and Leadership Team of the Women’s Ministry. After graduating from Red Spring High School in 2002, she began attending Fayetteville State University where she was a two-time graduate, earning bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology, graduating in 2006. She began graduate school at Webster University, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she completed her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling in 2009. Labecca had over 20 years of pageant experience. She was a pageant participant, pageant judge, and pageant coach. She is the former Miss Teen Queen Las Amigas 1998-1999, Classic Ms. North Carolina Sophisticate 2004, 1st Runner Up in the US Sophisticate National Competition in 2004, and Ms. Clinton 4th of July Supreme 2005. In October 2022, she was crowned Mrs. Lumberton Plus America 2023. On March 18, 2023, she was crowned Mrs. North Carolina Plus America 2023-2024. Not only did she earn the crown, but she received an award for Community Service, was the winner of the Spokes model competition, and scored the highest out of every contestant in all divisions in Private Interview, On-Stage Interview, Elegant Pantswear, and Evening Gown. Labecca was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Labecca was a passionate and humble woman. Her kindness and generosity were effortless and endless. She had a smile that would brighten any room she entered. Labecca never met a stranger. She treated everyone with dignity and respect. She possessed a passion for working with people with disabilities. She loved to help others and was passionate about Disability Awareness and changing the stigma of people with disabilities. She loved life and stayed as active as possible. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bland and Rebecca McNeil. Labecca leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Mr. Christopher Lesane, of the home, special niece, Malaysia Lesane of the home, her mother, Ms. Linda Galbreath of Lumberton, North Carolina, one brother, Mr. Craig Galbreath of Lumberton, NC, three aunts, Ms. Hannah McNeill and Ms. Janice McNeill, both of Randallstown, Maryland, Ms. Lavern Blue, of Charlotte, NC and two uncles, Mr. Peter (Narvis) McNeill of Pembroke, NC and Mr. Terrell (Joann) Blue of Reisterstown, Maryland, Mother-in-law, Ms. Dorothy Williams, of Lumberton, NC, Brother-in-law, Mr. William (Ethal) Lesane, of Lumberton, NC, Sister-in-law, Ms. Angela Lesane of Lumberton, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

"Ivy Beyond The Wall" Ceremony by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will be held prior to services.
