Obituary
Albert "Al" McPherson 79 of East 12th Street of the Walnut Street community of Lumberton transitioned on Saturday morning April 29, 2023 at his residence. Al was a descendant of the McPherson family of downtown Pembroke, North Carolina, and had resided in New York City for many years before returning to Lumberton and Robeson County. Among his survivors are one daughter, Monique McPherson of Atlanta, Georgia, two sons, Brian McPherson of Staten Island, New York, Gerard McPherson of Atlanta, Georgia, and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Saturday May 6, 2023 at Sandy Grove Baptist Church following interment at Meadowbrook City Cemetery, viewing will be Friday May 5, 2023 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home in Lumberton, North Carolina.
